The Poet that has inspired me the MOST is
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

His primary language is German and secondary is English! SOME of his works are in English, but most today, remain in German!

I have started to apply this one quote, to the relationship between my Momma and I! It is starting to work too! Here it is.........

"If we take people
  as we find them,
we may make them worse,
but IF we treat them
  as though they are
  what they should be,
we HELP them to become what
   they are capable
      of becoming".
