How Momma and her Boyfriend, Bob are moving back to the Metroplex area in North texas, rather than living out in East texas. Bob has adopted my recliner as his and my Mother has told me to tell him to sit in it every time he is at our house.

One problem, last night I wanted to sit in it because of my knee and it was hurting me very badly but Bob got to sit in it and smoke! I cannot stand his smoking and have told her so but she continues to let him smoke in OUR HOUSE! Momma, Kristina and I, all three of us SHARE this house as equal roommates!

My recliner, now the “Boyfriend’s” too!

My magnificent recliner, I was so excited

The day I got it.(It was used but happy I was!)

Going on Six years old now, it is getting warn,
rough edges with metal sticking out in a few places.
I am really the only one that knows where it is safe

to put your legs up so metal does not hit your thighs.

Frayed on the edges, and void of any smoke,

It has never caused me any problems, UNTIL;

Momma brought the boyfriend home to meet us!
We had met him before but not under these circumstances.

He is 80 years old and therefore, with a small body,
gets first dibs on my recliner! UGHHHHH!

Also, he smokes like a race horse!

My Wonderful recliner is now going to smell!

(That is something I am going to have to put up

With though, right Peter? Mum’s the word!)

It is now, Becca and Bob’s recliner instead of

Becca’s recliner.

Oh well.

These Black and Blue Red Zone Days by Aberjhani

Just as life during the pandemic was color-coded with different hues representing different levels of danger, life in its aftermath has become shaded in similar ways. As a self-styled “Seeker of Beauty with Beauty,” (borrowing from a quote by W.E.B.
