I had stopped going to church,
last year, Fall of 2004.
Transportation was a BIG issue
on getting there and back.
(I have since moved and live closer, now)

I am a part of their Deaf Community,
and I have missed it so.
There are many friends at the church,
who were Shocked to see me!

I am starting to go to church again,
after being gone for almost a year.
Today was the first Sunday back.

Those in the Deaf crowd,
I only knew a few of them.
However, at the luncheon afterwards,
I met many more deaf people and/or
hearing impaired.

Today I reached out,
and used my Sign Language skills.
They were a bit RUSTY,
but I am learning,
experiencing the real thing,
and that is what counts!!!!
