This poem is dedicated to my very good friend, Jill Carpenter. She died of a brain tumor in 2001. She is surely missed. The following is just my views on people who have a serious illness/chronic illness. I am NOT talking about the common cold either!
Oh, Lord. We, your ill children, come to you in time of great need. We ask for strength to have more faith in the midst of all the chaos. Some eternal healing would not hurt either, dear Lord. Yet, we know all will come in due time. That is okay by me, Lord. I look forward to me entering your Kingdom and staying there, permanently! Prayer is indeed a friend to the sick, as well as a comfort for the troubled, and a constraint on the wicked. Meditative contemplation and prayer grow out of great-hearted decisions that make positve differences in lives. It's the kind of thing that inspires authors to write books.
