A poem about facing my next situation in concerns of illness.
Everything should be just fine, said my Doctor. She believes it to be a benign mass.
However, since I have the genetic defect of "Cowden's Syndrome", along with it comes a 50/50 chance of breast cancer. Dr. Leitch has said when I turn 40 or 45 years, I can opt to have a double masectomy. The odds are THAT bad! I am 35 yrs old right now. I cannot have children anyway, for I have already had a hysterectomy.
I am looking forward to the day I can have both breasts gone!
Everything in life, must come in pairs of three.
At least that is what I have deduced!
I have had two life threatening situations before me and have beaten them.
The Goddess and the Cosmos visualize that the beginning of all things as chaos or dark. From this rises the desire to create order from the void. This is the Goddess. The Cosmos is everlasting, but all life forms enact a constant cycle of birth and death. Life and death and other inseparable pairs, such as chaos and order, darkness and light, dryness and moisture are all subsumed with the creatrix.
Within her body, the Goddess combines all of the different stages of being. From this viewpoint, death is not the end, or even an ending, just as birth is not a beginning, but simply a phase in the continuum.
