I am getting better, slowly but surely!!! This poem is a sign of progress for I used to go to the psychiatric hospital every 2 - 3 months and basically lived in Wichita Falls, Texas for 2 years. I owe a lot to my psych while there and the fact that he put me on "Cymbalta", the anti-depression capsule.
In the past, I thought of suicide every waking moment. It never left me.
My depression got much worse.
Since almost two years ago, I have been on Cymbalta, a fairly new anti-depression medication.
My life is much better.
Now, I only think of suicide in spurts and not near as much as before.
I saw my psychiatrist today for my monthly check-up as well. He is a good man.
I go to the psychiatric hospital when I start to think of a plan to carry out my “suicide plan”.
When that happens, I check in for two to three months.
My life is getting better though and I have not been in a psychiatric hospital since December 2006.
Good to hear from you, Becca...you sound to be in good spirits...keep thinking the good thoughts...good to see you posting again...be well...Blessed Be.
