I had a seizure Sunday morning, October 5th, 2003, was sitting in my recliner when it happened luckily. I had just reduced my seizure medication a few weeks ago, will increase it on Wednesday when I get my medication from the pharmacy.
Watching t.v.,
Mom is on the
computer.
Suddenly, I get
tired, very sleepy.
Eyes shut, freeze
closed.
I can see legs
though, they
jerk, mildly,
while in chair.
I try to
speak, but
it comes out
garbled.
Then, suddenly,
everything is NORMAL
AND I can TALK
normally!
I thought I had had
a seizure but
did not tell Mom.
Dear group, Thank you so very much for your loving thoughts and concerns. I have an appointment on Thursday afternoon with my neurologist and he has already told me to increase my meds. I shall do that tomorrow when I get my meds. My neurologist and I have an understanding when it comes to increasing or decreasing my carbatrol or topamax but after this time of seizures, I am coming to realize that I just cannot play with my topamax seizure medication.
I sufferred ANOTHER seizure this morning, Tuesday, at college after morning class. I was ok though. That reminds me, need to email teacher about it. Gotta go and email her before it is too late.
Bye!

only had one seizure in my life--was undergoing a myelographic study of my spine, wound up allergic to the dye they used...could feel it starting in my legs, working up...they knocked me out and it was la la land for four days...never want to experience that again--it was terrifying
(((HUGS))) and don't be ashamed to tell your mom--she would want to know

You describe it very well Becca and I relate to it because I have epilepsy too and frequent seizures. Keep smiling and writing and take those meds! ;)Big Hug
