Unborn
Unborn am I
Forged, full-formed in the well of pain
Crucified again and again
Born and born again through time in God’s great game
Unliving am I
A thing of meat convulsed by neural spark
A hollow corpse alone amid this dismal park
A jerking spastic born of empty dark
Undead am I
A vampire hungry for the force of life
An empty shell that yearns for home and wife
A parasitic thing of hate and strife
Unloved am I
A shadow shunned, admired and hated
Man’s darkest thought that rises unabated
The voice of cruelty unsated
Unblessed am I
Beyond the power of light to curse
Woven all of spells and anti-verse
The dying mind of God within a hearse
Incorrupt am I
That needs no blessing from above
That curses all who dare to utter love
That has no need to free the burning, tortured dove
Unborn are you
Who knows yet not the power of these my words to waste
Who cannot see within yourself and taste
The glowering dark that through your mind makes haste
The dam of sanity is breached.
Be safe,
Karen
