This poem is about growing wiser in today's society

hurt
pain
I try hard to refrain
from the aggravation
from relationships
it's a trip
manipulation: frustration
so I had to pull myself from the situation

crying
trying
to deal with what I feel
can't tell the difference from bullshit and what is real
everybody telling lie
jealous people turning green
people all up in your business
let me tell you what I mean

hectic
neglected
mess that's got me vexed
my eclectic visions
should get me out of this mess
I guess I could be stressed
from the chaos in my life
but I'm blessed because I know the Lord will get me through this strife

I open up my eyes
a new day has begun
I can finally feel the warmth of the reflected sun

my eyes are open
and now I see
the reflected sun
that guides me

no more hurt
no more pain
no feelings neglected
because the sun is reflected

the clouds
the darkness
hovered all around me
my past full of confusion
I could hardly see
could it be
desperation: agitation
do I have the strength to get through these tribulations

conceiving
the reasons
should I even be in
this world so full of hate
full of betrayal and treason
negativity removed
I have nothing left to prove
'cause I know that every flower has its season

changed
rearranged
got a whole new way of thinking
linking myself to nothing
no shame in my game
got a whole new claim to fame
I aim for the sky but hold the ground which I came
I no longer have to run
now the battle's finally won
I can finally feel the warmth of the reflected sun

Awesome. You got it. You've definitely been there and love the way you wrote it. I love your style. Be some great lyrics. As I read again I could hear some music behind it in my mind.

In the beginning I thought your poem reflected the distraction and confusion of today's living and the effect of the economic downturn on everyone's lives. And then I saw that you have turned that around and taken a new view. Now that you have now reflected sun, I believe that it is time for you to come out in the full sun and feel its rays. But don't stay out too long, that can be harmful if you get too much of a good thing.

Your capacity to overcome adversity...
un-complicate your life...and care more
about yourself...that's wisdom....
Love your poem and thank you for sharing it.
