It take’s a strong heart and a strong mind
to heal old wounds and leave the past behind,
but somehow those memories seem to find an open door
and tear into my heart like they have long before.
Somehow I believe that the scar’s will stay with me
even follow me through death’s door and beyond,
but somehow I’ll conceive that I’m just a human being
and that the test’s of life had just begun.
And somewhere inside the miracle of hope
I’ll wish to find a way,
to be careful, not careless
during my times of play.
But I will not look for perfection
because perfection I will not achieve,
but somewhere inside the miracle of hope
I’ll try to be anything but all,
that I expect to be.
