"Droplets Of Sadness"

Tears form droplets of sadness
flowing like the brook outside my window.
I long to be in your arms this moment
to embrace the love we shared so long ago.
Why do I keep yearning for your touch?
You hurt me so deeply, ever so much.
You were that dark dragon of the night,
and I was the innocent maiden.
Did I love you that deeply,
to be forever driven to shed
droplets of sadness
every time I think of you?
I have vowed to forget you,
but I am gently reminded,
each time those droplets form,
that it was my soul that was torn.
author's notes:
I really pour my heart and soul out. It's great therapy and I know I have friends here on the den that understands this sentimental, romantic, diva!

To give love and have it torn into a million little pieces is definitely "... soul that was torn."
The experience that you write about is not unknown to me. I chose to replace the sad memories with the good ones. Unfortunately, the sad ones occasionally creep in. Bummer.
Ouch!! I could feel the torn place in your heart...you've brought your heart out on your chest and let the reader feel the hurt, pain and yearnings. On a scale of 1 - 10 & 10 the highest rating...I'd give you a 10. This reader could actually feel your sorrow and there's definitely nothing wrong with pouring out your heart...this is what writing is all about and makes for excellent poetry.

Nothing is wrong about being sentimental or romantic-I think they are wonderful qualities for anyone to have-lovely expression of your deep longings my friend
