I want to thank you
for giving me the strength
to throw off these toxic shackles
that held me down
to rise above these dark storm clouds
to truly see my worth as it was intended
I bless you
for helping me learn
depths of strength I never knew I possessed
I somehow know now
in spite of it all
I will be okay
I smile a smile of golden white light
every loss is actually something gained
every heartache something new
you only refuse if shut down to possibility
every death is nothing but rebirth
to a soul that says the word "Yes."
