LITTLE BLACK DRESS

it was the little black dress
the ultimate weapon in woman’s arsenal
the proverbial scenario of domination
of man’s senses soon to be surrendered

your alabaster shoulders bare
dusted with little specks of body glitter
that twinkled like a million winking eyes
in the magic of golden candlelight

you are a woman well versed in love
educated in the art of seduction
who knows the power of a little black dress
to drive a man to distraction

the way that one strap seemed to be
always sliding down, deserting its post
inviting me to kiss the heat it left exposed
and vulnerable to the surprise attack of my lips

you were a vision of delight, a vixen
the way that dress revealed the top of your breasts
until i was so aroused i lost interest in dinner
thankful that my lap was hidden by the table

the power of that little black dress,
sensual perfection as it molded itself
tightly to all your enticing curves
but more perfect as it lay on the bedroom floor
