THIS BALMY NIGHT

the taste of your lips
is never far from my thoughts
you voice....it plays my heart
and often on lonely nights
your scent covers me

you are far but always near
memories never seem to fade
and hope still springs eternal

the vision of your smooth skin
bare and slick with sweat
takes possession of my eyes
and the feel of your silky hair
wakens my fingertips to pleasure

if i could swim oceans
and leap over mountains
i'd spend this balmy night with you

if i could wish and you'd be here
we'd walk the white sand shore
watch moonlight caressing waves
we'd kiss in ways lovers do
and greet the sun together
