OTHER COWBOYS GET THE BEST HORSES
BUT THERE'S A FEW LEFT FOR ME
seems like other cowboys
get all the good ones
and i always draw that bull
with danger in his eyes
and hell in his flanks
or that bronco that makes
last friday night’s bedroom rodeo
look like a piece-ful thing
seems like other cowboys
get all the good horses
and fine half-wild women
but there’s a few left for me
some that aint been broke at all
and others just begging me
to climb in the saddle
strap up and brace myself
for the ride of my life
a cowboy's life aint easy
sleeping in wide open spaces
just one long hard ride after another
yeah, younger cowboys seem to get
all the good horses and fine women
but i wonder if they're man enough
to break frisky fillies with no bridle
and ride hard all night like me
