Footprints in the wind

Footprints in the wind,


Hot breath in cold air,


Proves that I’ve been here,


Proves that I’ve been there.


 


Words writ on water,


Portraits drawn in sand,


Dark eyes in shadows,


Dreamt in fairyland.


 


Ski marks left in snow,


My name etched on ice,


Teardrops in ocean,


Loaded is the dice.


 


Wing-beats of a dove,


Whispers in the wind,


Smoke up the chimney,


The Grim Reaper grinned.


 


Fingerprint in air,


Sighs in thunder-cloud,


Life that has been lived


Will be disallowed.


 


With the end in sight


No need to despair,


Life Force put me Here


And He’ll take me There.

The rhythmn and the music of your poem is carrying me.
It's 0345h in the morning, not sleeping, tremendously
Like the wind, natural phenomenon, eeringly howling,
Resonating whole body, delighfully vibrating!

Doesn't look like anybodies footprints I know, maybe that of bigfoot or a very large bear, but still the poem is a wonderful hoot thru your mind out there...Peace, ed & rufuz
