I hang my soul on the washing line,

Let it breathe fresh air and let it shine,

Let the sunlight

Wash it all white.

Filth of old deeds have tarnished it black,

I want it all clean, I want it back,

Let the sunlight

Wash it all white.

When it’s clean I’ll take it to heaven,

Like good, fresh bread I let it leaven;

Eternal light

Will keep it white.

Shannah tovah v'Khatimah tovah!
(Have a)good Year and a good Inscription (into the Book of Life)!
