Maim or murder him; he is not your dad, You have every reason to kill him dead. Kill him… snuff out his life’s light… Blow him to pieces… spill his blood and gut… Some may dispute this matter with you, but That’s within your human right… After all you live in a world that’s free Where you can be just what you want to be… All options are on your list: Tinker, tailor, banker, sailor, actor, Adjudicator, vile agitator, Mullah… killer… terrorist… Freedom, freethinking leads to bewitchment, But our aim and cause is more relevant, More noble and more refined… Peace we abhor… Paradise we adore… And therefore we diligently work for The *batterment* of Mankind. Kill infidels! This is a holy war! Everything they stand for you must abhor! No matter how hard you try A more noble cause you will never find Go, kill for the *batterment* of Mankind… …And for betterment of my… © P. J. What I object to is religious hypocrisy and intolerance. I intensely distrust and dislike any clergy of any denomination (or politician for that matter) who preaches and incites hatred. And I utterly despise those who expect or demand self sacrifice from others in the name of an ideology or religion.

Yes, and this is the nature of the beast, for there is always one that is corrupted by power absolutely, and then forces their thinking on others, craving the war and hatred that is within themselves- very thought-provoking.

Strong work here, both in message and form. And the postscript, while it first appears separate from the poem, really is not...it is rather like an aside in a play.
This a splendid piece of work, Peter...well written and concise.
