On sunny shores of Lago d’ Iseo
- Clouds shimmered on the mirror of the lake –
Slowly walked along me and my shadow,
Wond’ring if in a dream or wide awake.
I asked my shadow: “D’you know who am I?
D’you know where from and where to leads the way?
D’you know if I exist and if so why,
And does my life matter in any way?”
Shadows are silent… except in the night…
The answers are written in winds and clouds…
Sunshine cast shadows, more so when it’s bright,
Truths are veiled in silence behind thick shrouds.
There is no answer to “where to and why.”
We keep on walking… my shadow and I…
