Deep dark velvet, no starlight in sight,
A gentle hand rocks you to sleep.
Soft breeze blows worries out of your hair;
No sorrows, no thoughts, troubles or care…
There's no more dark secrets to keep.
No memories, yearning… long gone the lust,
Unfulfilled promises… You simply must
Abandon yourself to rest.
Softly, tenderly whispers the night…
The day was hard, now out goes the light…
N' you know it is for the best.
Only one more breath… gentle, slow and deep…
What will follow now is eternal sleep…
With just the hope that one day you might
Rise from the depth of an azure-blue lake
And on the Creator's bosom you wake…
