At the journey's end.

I loved this place…

The grass was green, the sky was clear blue…

I spent some time here; how fast it flew.

Encountered sorrow, encountered grief,

Even some good times… though they were brief.

I've seen some smiles; seen plenty of tears,

Heard some laughter… and deriding jeers.

Asked some questions… the answers were few;

Seems that most people haven't a clue.

I loved her face…

Her skin was soft, fresher than a peach;

Her smiles, her tears a treasure was each

And every one. Now faded the smiles,

Furrowed the skin. Oh how many miles

Of dust covered road behind us now.

I no longer ask where to and how.

The answer's truly just round the bend

Where the road fades n' the journey will end

All by His Grace…© P. J. Oszmann

Peter,
Aha, so you have traveled a bit indeed, to have found this truth along the path..a path walked, leaving wisdom by the wayside, in which he passed by........
