Firefighters, so brave and true ,
They actually walk through fire for you.
Their lives on the line from day to day,
a breath of life, one may give you someday.

They walked up the stairs, to save some lives,
put fear behind them, as they climbed up high.
Their hearts were brave, full of compassion,
many brave men were lost in action.

They will all be missed,
their smiles and laughs,
and how with courage,
they saved lives.

And to their families, our love we do send,
along with sorrow for such an untimely end.
Stars in the sky shine down on you.
Remember their smiles, all that they did do.

Look up to the moon as full as it is.
Blow him a kiss,
cause that smile looking down,
could very well be his.

Firefighters so strong and true ,
On 9-11, the world saw the best in you.
Our brothers, fathers, sons and friends
Sacrificed their lives for their fellow men.

I have a friend who's father was a fireman and died on that day. I printed your poem and put on the bottom of it "Rest in Peace" and his name. It was placed in a beautiful frame with his photo on the corner and my friend has it hanging in her living room. Very touching poem.

Kitty,
Your 9/11 Heros poem touches my heart. I had a friend who died there on that day and I'd like to tell you this was very touching. I know he's looking down on his family and friends and your poem should be sent around.

Love this one too. Isn't that the way, we give and give and they look elsewhere. Your poems are very powerful and make you think.
Beautiful. Keep writing.

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
