I'm not here to prove to you
it's my life and what I chose

If I am bound with tare and scorn
I will wear the crown of thorns

If my actions show deceit
that's my trait that is weak

I'm not here to prove to you
what in life I'm about to do

If I become wicked at heart
its my soul that shatters apart

If I should fall in the gutter
its my life in a flutter

If my life becomes a joke
its my integrity that has no hope

I say it now and let it be true
I was not created to prove to you

But with my faith that God bestows
the sea of righteousness I strive to row

and since my life depends on the Bible
this – my source I find reliable

and when it's over and judgment is due
I'll know
my life was not wasted proving to you
