I always enjoy combining words with Felix :) He makes my words look better :)

Painting by my favorite ever, Lord Frederic Leighton, and it's entitled "Perseus and Andromeda"

Poem Artwork

Let the North winds call out the dark name of Fisarius

As from the deep dark depths I rise to relieve this pain

Though condemned to be a serpent with the breath of Hades

My heart feels the pull of my true love the Lady Maselda

a kiss from her lips will be my death by the Wizard’s spell

Rise I shall though, to the die upon the shores my lips on hers again

Though to some he is a monster, beast or demon of olde

to me he is one whose love conquers his darker self

beneath those very wings I become what he shall behold

a dragon's treasure worth more than the greatest wealth

ours was a romance that neither gypsy or sage foretold

but that came upon our hearts with a wizard's stealth

Aye to bring our lips and arms embraced together

To seal my fate so as once more Maselda I’ll hold tight

To break the curse, I, Fisarius will rise again to share

One last mortal embrace of our love’s last earthborn night

With thee fair maiden on the distant shores of Maranus

where together one last time we will greet the morning light

On the shores of Maranus distant and remembered fond

I still yearn for the warmth of love's own night embrace

where in the depths of dark hollow caves our futures bond

though alas only in thought can we join face to face

for a kiss of death would be our kiss if we did respond

to this desire for the joining that the kiss doth replace

Oh love, I surrender life for love for without thy lips ‘twas death

teardrops doused the last flames of dragon’s breath as their kiss sealed his fate

Now in human form to die in her arms his love for her Fisarius last bequeath

His lady and this world without him is the flame's endless burning

So like a wingless moth she draws nearer to her cliff edged death

Aye, tis true that falling is bliss as into his eternal arms she's returning

what a beautiful story of star crossed lovers willing to give up life just to be together for one moment. Well done, both of you.

a beautiful story of love and tragedy -- sacrifice, for the promise of a lover's kiss -- wow! -- the two of you have produced a neoclassic here I believe -- a marvelous collaboration Michelle and Felix -- peace and love -- Jon Michael

Michelle is far too modest, it is she who gives color and flight to my words and a smile to our collaborations. It is always a joy and a pleasure to work with such a talented young lady such as she. Thanks dear one.
