That is where you can find the sculptor's work

Poem Artwork

pain left me there far beyond my years

twisting in moments of solitary tears

how could I not but concentrate on the break

on the measure of this constant ache

on the bowing that my strength can take

that now the fool’s role I will replace

and not the bliss of God’s given grace?

Weakened bones my soul to wear

hearts with beats not left to spare

muscles pulled till taut and lame

crying and calling out your name

Lord, help my sore body to refuel

tossed and turned when life is cruel

stripped bare and torn apart in two

still life goes on here without you

a pain I’ve never known screamed true

I’m tossed aside the sinking ship

upon the radar– this quiet blip

forgotten buoy passed by one night

much too far from a house of light

yet I’ll never speak our love’s goodnight

Michelle, this is a gripping poem -- your sparring with pain to gain relief from its hold, is heart rendering to your friends -- as Ron suggests, keep writing about it -- it will help you cope -- peace and love my dear friend --Jon Michael

Maybe you are incorrect.
I know of such loss and pain.
Seeing a real babe of outstanding beauty, once so very vibrant.
I doubt that I'll ever overcome.
She is an ex that hates me, yet her purity in her picture hangs high upon my wall.

Is weird, as I've never dated; you don't when you've found the one and then she decides you're not. Real love over-comes everything.

Her mind and spirit is that which makes her.... Her body she will do her best to share. The lass I dated gave more than money could/can buy. Yet never will I get the chance to tell her.

This write hits right where it hurts.

Your love shines!

Michele, I can empathize with your plight - your struggles emotionally, the suffering that pain can bring to the moment and to your hopes for the future. Many in my family are afflicted in one form or another, renal failure, (our son) mental illness, (my sister, mother, and nephew) heart problems, Parkinsons, (Grandfather, Uncle) rhumatoid arthritis, the list is long and the suffering is real.
Sometimes empathy can be efficacious, but I am helpless to help, I know that, except to say that I understand because of what I have personally experienced with those family members around me and with my own self. Stand strong!

Your pain and ache weighs heavy on the heart of all those who care, often the night brings out our most painful memories but in dreams we can walk in the sunshine of what life should be...if only. You are a beautiful and talented writer Michelle...never lose sight of that.
