I've had this one done since May, but waited until now to post it, for obvious reasons, lol. It is based on a painting of the same name by the artist Joe Sorren

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

autumn gold, wearing knee high boots, roll across the sky

and listen for the silent hum, of this cool earth's reply

twinkling there in the laughter, of fast departing birds

short demands, and long travel plans, told in pecking words

autumn bliss, in popping yellow, shines down upon his face

his summer steps, where once he leapt, now he will retrace

or close the brown, of his eyes, and expose his graceful wings

the kind that only painted birds, and one's own God shall bring

autumn music, come hear the shadows, in this darkened song

for it is the beast's own true nature, not to last too long

but to suddenly bend and loosen, before dangling in mid-air

falling with a feather's touch, till every branch is bare

autumn fingers, tease out the soul, of that haunting tune

the fractured notes left drying, in the fading suns of June

climbing high to pluck the strings, on the branches of the trees

only to freefall backwards, upon a fragile fluttering breeze

autumn reds, now you're wearing, the richest of leafy suits

during this, a lulling time, with more ghostly goblins to recruit

to join in the raucous revelry, the sheer madness of their dance

with violin, they're prone to sin, and fall into deepest trance

autumn orange, shine while you can, for soon comes autumn brown

and even the smallest of children know, the ghosts have come to town

just one quick turn, a bow and spin, and then you will believe

in the seductive chilling power, of the Dance of All Hallows Eve

You have captured well the amazing changing of the season and metamorpazized (spelling) the splendor of fall's colours and Halloween's spirits into a masterful performance for your reader's enjoyment. Well done.
