for times when communication is a challenge....

write me a letter baby.
send it on the line.
let me hear your voice
without interruption,
minus all the if's and but's
and my own interpretations.
minus all my self-doubts.
minus me at all.

because that's why i write to you.
for whatever reason right now,
we just can't talk it through
without you hearing
something i didn't mean to say,
or me not hearing you the same
wrong way.
write me a letter baby,
and let me know you.

write me a letter baby,
help me understand.
i wanna know what you feel,
how you look at the world.
i want to know everything
you need from me, girl.

because that's why i write to you.
for whatever reason right now,
we just can't talk it through
without you hearing something
i didn't mean to say
or me not hearing you the same
wrong way.
write me a letter baby,
and let me know you.

now you know and i know
we come from different worlds.
two independent minds.
both strong willed.
powerful spirits,
stronger than steel,
but so is our love, baby,
and so are we when
we become one from two.
when we join forces,
there's nothing we can't do.

so write me a letter baby.
take my mind by the hand.
lead me to your heart
and all that you have planned.
share all that you need,
and i promise to listen, baby,
i promise to please.
i know we're gonna get through this,
'cause we were meant to be.

and that's why i write to you.
for whatever reason right now,
we just can't talk it through
without you hearing something
i didn't mean to say,
or me hearing you the same
wrong way.
write me a letter baby,
and let me know you.

write me a letter baby,
and let's get back to -
you know how we do.

ps, i love you.

anything she writes to me is sweeter than the purest honey warmly dripping from the comb hidden in the tree ... she can make a grocery list ignite... Thank you for dropping by.

Look Away Silence by Edward Patterson

Martin Powers wanted an ironing board for Christmas. Instead, he got . . . Matthew Kieler, a non-returnable gift, but a gift that kept on giving. A powerful tale of survival, compassion and unapologetic love in the time of AIDS.
