a poet i am
a poetm i be
if you want to see me
read me
from old to new
e-me
i'll send you the old
the story i have told
so....
if you want to see me
e-me
meanwhile here is some poetry
pennye ainty poker
penney
ainty
poker
play
with a joker
or 2
yup, that's what i do...
my dad & i
we play
the same
game
everyday
we lay
the same pennies & dimes
on the same old table
we rhymes
as long as he's able
oh, there is a nickle or 2
that's true
that get's a bet
a nickle or a dime
card's that rhyme
there on the table
double your bet
if you're able
and yet...
don't place that bet
it may be he
his last chance
to dance
to see
a winning hand
to take his last stand
to take a stance
to dance
to ramble
to gamble
at a penny ainty game
guess it's all the same
i see the cards
he dtraw's
i see the card's
he play's
i see the card's
he lay's
i see when he folds
i see when he holds
i see when he stay's
i see the table
i see when i'm able
i see the bet
and yet
it's only a penny or a dime
i see when to win
i see when to lose
i see then
he's bet he does choose
i see when he's not able
to bet
a penny
not a nickle
not a dime
i see when he's out of time
and so i bet my hand
i take my stand
'cause man to man
he has his stuff
and that's 'enuff
dad...i call your bluff
penny antie
nickels & dimes
a Life that rhymes
eye to eye
he & i
across the table
stable
balls to the walls
he & me
the last game
penny to play
a nickle to stay
and he play's
my dad stay's
someday's he wins
someday he don't
someday's it will end
someday's it won't
not for a penny
nor a nickle
not for a dime
someday will be his time
but for now
a pennyn aintie
still play's the game
ain't it a shame
when you win
or win you lose
but that's the game
that you choose
