i got a pal,
naw, his names not Al,
let's just call him Ed
sounds bettern' Ted
he's like me
you see
he be who he be
and i & he
we be a We
we be alike
we both speak inta'the mic
with the words we write
day & night
we write what we might
we write with fore thought
or hindsight
we write what we want not what we ought
we just write what we bought
or what we sought
we got sumpin' ta' say
we write away
and right away
with words we play
we seldom stay
on 1 subject too long
right or wrong
we sing our song
then we move along
no 1 place do we belong
we write about
this
and we write about
that
we write about piss
and bein' fat
or thin
and then
just when
we're through
we write about Blue
we write about where It's At
or we shout
about where It Ain't
we write about some old Saint
or feelin' faint
or peelin' paint
or paint that's new
yup, that's what we do
we even write about you
we write about false & true
we write about things of which
we haven't a clue
we write about an itch
or diggin' a ditch
or some old bitch
all day & late at night
we write what we might
he even wrote about how to masturbate
we write about bein' too late
or too early
i wrote about some little squirrly
we write about sinners
and just beginners
we write about losers and winners
we write about the race
and just the right pace
we write about our face
or our eyes
we write about wonderin' why's
or or lies
or our best try's
we even write about good-byes
we write about some odd fellow
or bein' mellow
or yellow
or green
we write about bein' lean
or flush
or how ta' brush
or when ta' flush
wax in our hears
or what we hears
we even write 'bout our fears
and our tears
and all the years
we write about some old proverb
or smokin' the herb
or takin' a drink
or the kitchen sink
we write about what we think
and that's scarry
and that get's harry,
naw not that Harry,
we write about the tooth fairy
or the easter Bunny
we write about sad & funny
we write 'till we get warry
we write where we're led,
me & Ed,
we write what ever's in our head
just goes to show
we write what we're fed
and we both know
we got shit in our head
we both got our pains
we both know we be insanes
but in the mains
we both know we got shit for brains
I wonder who this Ed guy could be, I know of no such person besides you that writes of all that s**t, though if he does he sounds like a great person, one to know, one that goes along with the flow, one to blow, I won't go there though...I bet this guy Ed realizes in you he has a good friend and you in he, and he hopes this you see...Jursy & howlin'
