tick-tock!
tick-tock!
tick-tock!
tick-tock!

i hear the words mock.

i sit & i stare
out there
somewhere
where
where i can not
i care not

i sit and stare
at the digital clock
totally aware
i've got writer's block

i sit and be
just me with me
i sit and see
a sight unseen
i sit and see
what what used ta' be
there's sumpin'
i want ta' say
i keep pumpin'
pumpin away
at my brain
ta' word play
but, alas
in vain
that moment does pass

'tis pain
drives me insane
all my thoughts
my should's & my ought's
that i bought's
that i sought's
they are so mundane
maybe this be
a timely refrain
i see
but, they be so mundane
a rhyme can't be bought
nor brought
just wastin' me time
in a thought
that's only a dream
or a scheme
know what i mean?
just wastin' my time
in a mime

without speech
i grab & i reach
for sumpin' ta' teach
or sumpin' ta' preach
sumpin' ta' leach
onto
but what can i do?
how about you?
stop & take stock
i've got
writer's block
that ain't too hot
ta' think
i cannot...

words are but
an ink blot
test
a time ta' rest
a time ta' be blessed
forget all the best
it's the worse
that are the curse

a poem gets caught
in a blink
the ryhtmn
does sink
the rhyme
has lost it's time
what was a given
just seems ta' stink
slowly, softly like the blink of an eye
then the words say good-bye
nice try
bye-bye
why?

i sit and i sigh
i sit & i cry
maybe i should lie
or lay
or try ta' word play
try ta' make
a poem stay
try ta' take
from sumpin' in the past
sumpin' that should last
that still cast
it's shawdow
i don't know

sumpin' or someone
whose memory does last
an old song i sung
a new thought that's brung
a moment in time that hung
there in my memory
for me to see
for me to be
a re-post
of those i have a host
and a toast to you
and to me
for all of the re-post's we see

sumpin' or someone
sometime when it was done
when it was fun
when
when
when
back then
life had it's Sun
Light
day or night
back then
i could write
right or wrong
i had Light

an old song i'd sung
a repost
a memory brung
back
a host
a ghost
from coast ta' coast
there in my mind
a memory so kind
i might find
if i relax
it'd be like Ex-lax
or a fax
for my head
maybe sumpin' i read
or sumpin' i felt
sumpin's she said
sumpin's with which i dealt
or sumpin' left unSaid
sumpin' ta' where We were led

tick-tock!
tick-tock!
tick-tock!
tick-tock!

i hear
my digital clock

i feel fear
what if they're all gone
what if my songs
wrong
am i left alone
bare ta' the bone
hard as stone
with no feeelin'
no healin'
just The Realin'
of Reality
is that how It Be
just stealin'
from long ago
what i don't want ta' know
when words grow
when Reality does show

i'd write what i wrote
please take note
my ego would blote
'till i was smote
back ta' the sound
back ta' the ground
back ta' what i found
in...

tick-tock!
tick-tock!
tick-Tock!
TICK-TOCK!

the sound
of my digital clock
the found of
writer's block

it's a shock
it's a shame
it's the name of the game
hell, who can ya' blame it's all the same
excuses are lame
write's block
poem's can't be all the same

there's so much
to write about
such & such & not too such
and such i do shout about
but day or night
when i can't write
i fight
that loss of sight
the more they mock
the more's the shock
ta' be in a poet's dry dock
and ta'know it
shit
as bit by bit
i try it
i sit and i wonder
i wander
into
the words that were given
and how i was driven
and how i was liven
to write
day
and
night
i had
sumpin' right
ta' say
some light
ta' pray
how sad...

now,
somehow...

tick-tock!
tick-tock!
tick-tock!
TICK-TOCK!

like a kite
without the wind
like a story without
a beginnin' or an End
i do send
and blend
these words
unheard
my words do End
not meant ta' offend
just blend

my write
i send
my write
does apraise me
paraphrase me
lays me down
to the words soft sound

so i write

without light
or bein' led
i write from my head
and i shed
a tear
i shed my fear
and
i draw you near
hear me clear

tick-tock!
tick-tock!
tick-tock!
..........

Time
does mock
like a silent
Digital Clock
it does what it does...
and what was was was
because
you listned.

and there is no rhyme
in watchin' Time.

There is no clock
no Tick-Tock.

No Writer's Block
in All The Words
A POET IS GIVEN.

A Poet is Driven
by just livin'.

so stop & take stock
forget writer's block

if a Poet U B
than a Poet you see

tick-tock!
tick-tock!

that clock
has given you ryhtmn
now rhyme
with that clocks
Time

and forget
writer's block

and Today or Tonight
write
fight
give us your insight
right or wrong
sing your song

WRITE
TRY AS YOU MIGHT

This has 40 yes FORTY separate paragraphs on writers block, and I have to say that not even I am not ever that blocked, so pop a suppository and flush out your system, as I don't see any block here other than that empty one on your shoulders...Ed ;)
