a Summer morning
and i sit on my porch
watching a Summer shower
a light rain
falling gently to the ground
pretty soon the day will be burning
the Sun will scortch
and in an hour
this rain will have left us little to gain
just a memory of it's gentle sound
humid and sultry
no breeze to tease the trees
birds sing their Summer song
June bugs join along
somewhere, out there a dog barks
puffy gray clouds slowly float above me
Time passes with ease
i feel i'm right where i belong
here in this Summer Song
days like these leave their marks
the sound of soft rain
on a tin roof
a sound so aloof
it's mystical
entrancing
rain dancing
on a Summer morn
a new Day has been born
the clean smell of Summer air
refreshed by the Summer rain
concrete and grass
kissed as the showers pass
and without a care
i sit in my chair
and smell the air
and watch the rain
not scourning
this Summer Morning
Exquisitely expressed, Steve.

"i feel i'm right where i belong
here in this Summer Song"
and
"it's mystical
entrancing
rain dancing"
and so many more. I love this poem's musical magic. Bravo, Steve!
