He can’t anger me
because He’s not my master
and I won’t let Him do that to me...
My brother’s innocent youth was taken away
because of the monster
Who prayed with
Then preyed upon
Trust given and betrayed
His righteousness concealed the deed
Apologies, forgiveness, restoration is needed.
Regrets, punishment
Now a release from guilt.
Should I love my enemy?
Or seek strength to overcome the harm done?
For now I’ll set my heart at rest
to flush the guilt and shame
to know that God forgave me first
So I should do the same...

Aloha. It is hard to forgive those who've sworn to do you harm, who have hurt you in the past. If we cannot forgive our enemies, those who've pained us, how can our Father above forgive us? The pain still lingers, but we must forgive in order to be forgiven. Thank you for penning this heartfelt thought provoker.
