Terrorist attacks, insurgents, shootings, natural Disasters, earthquakes, storms, disease, and human suffering...

Took through a number of experiences,

Many are awakened by circumstances

Their strength of character is shown in the presence of human pain and suffering...

Enabled to understand what takes place in people’s lives,

Seen through the deep, sullen eyes
of child ravaged by hunger,

Or An elderly person in a lonely ward, no one knows who she is, trapped in her mind she reaches out but no one hears.

A World War II veteran, proud as he can be, the painful freedom of his wounds he can no longer bear.

The unfair, the unfortunate, call it what it is,

He’s dealt us
Not a choice but a consolation
For we are reminded of our own mortality

At the edge of life,
We have a reason to hope for an eternal outcome

Have we prepared ourselves?
Suddenly, we see a place of enlightenment, the long road home is clear,

There is no more pain and no more fear.
