a poem i wrote earlier this year

a glazed over stare
green orbs fixed upon the ceiling
and then darkness
for mere seconds

tired and uninspired
my eyes on fire
find me asleep
not entirely too much awake

don't bother calling
i'm not really here
somewhere far away
yet somehow very near

i've been here before
the land of nothing
nothing to feel
nothing to see

where have i gone
can i find a way back
is there desire
should i just fade to black
