Poem Artwork

Clover of Love

Soft echoes of his voice rang out,
within a cloud they seemed to sail,
desperately she ran along river's bank,
exhausted, in field of wheat she fell

She asked of the winds to parade,
and lead her to the song of her love,
ear of an eagle heard her plea,
as it soar at dusk up above

The pine's whispering awoke her smile,
from a dream of dance these mates did share,
silence stood, as she picked a four leaf clover,
then in her ear they breathed, that he really was there
.

I like that nature conspires to bring love to our door, Christine! Like all the best Disney storylines (and animations!) I believe that awareness of love around us DOES indeed bring the world into that sphere of surreality, where everything between heaven and earth is moving in order to bring such love to bear. Love the lightness in this and the skipping-heart, sing-song movement of your lines. xx

The magic around us / I am not a guy with my head in the clouds / Maybe I should be, but . . . / Still, I understand the magic around us / Every day of life brings that magic closer to me / This poem is clever in so many ways / And yes, I believe the pine tree can actually awaken us with a soft whisper . . .

Chrissie you do not post very often so when you do it is always something that is going to be truly special. This work of art is no exception. I could feel the soft breezes, the wheat upon bare legs, the wings of the eagle and...the beating of your heart with love and longing. Very nicely done...
