More often than not we put ourselves down because we do not live up to society's expectations. We are all beautiful the way we are and must start from the inside out.

 

SELF-HATING IS NOT ALLOWED

Why do you hate what you see in the mirror
When you should love and embrace her
You should be proud that you came fully assembled off the assembly line
And that you don't have stand in line
To refine the Father's design
Many make countless trips
To the doctor's office
Not caring if it will be their first trip
Which could very well turn out to be their last trip
To purchase what they fill they missed
They pay big bucks to Dr. 90210
Just to lie on his table
They place their lives in his hands
Each and every time
They sign their name on the dotted line
To have their stomachs stapled and sucked
As the doctors make their attempt to reconstruct
They have their lips and breasts injected
And risk being infected
Many have passed onto the next plane before their time
Because they did not take their time
To research the complications
Because of their hurried aspirations and expectations
Each one of us was born the way we were meant to be
So, the next time you look in the mirror be proud
Because self-hating is not allowed
