From Darkness to Light

Why do you keep holding
On to Black that is deceiving?

A darkness desolate
That consumes your inner being,

Chains you up in prison
Shackles your life, your dreams and hope,

Robs you of all reason
Leaves you wretched there to grope?

Light is there, can't you see?
His Truth and Light was on that Cross

Gave His Son to set you free
Redeem your life that gathers moss.

You need to make the choice
Go from Darkness into God's Light,

Opened hearts hear His voice
And blackened lives, He makes them Bright.

When you look into a dark cave and go in nothing happens to your eyes. But after you stayed in the cave a while and come from darkness to light it is briefly painful to the eyes! That pain is what sin is to the soul but when you walk in the light darkness can not prevail against you. Thank you for the reeinforcement of light Cynthia, Peace!!! A very effective poem.

Some people have not the privilege to see the light because they purposely have blinded themselves with skepticism, sadly, they are the head of state of many countries and their people follows...blindly.
