"Although the Lord gives you the bread of adversity and the water of affliction, your teachers will be hidden no more, with your own eyes you will see them.
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you saying, 'This is the way; walk in it.'"
(Isaiah 30:20-21)
Logic has no answers
For such inequality-
Why do good men suffer?
It is just reality.
The righteous suffer so,
While the bad remain untouched,
The reasons we don't know
Why we suffer things so much.
To put my mind at ease,
In my prayer He gave me
A glimpse of His masterpiece
A purpose there to see.
"Pain will purify thee
With water of Affliction,
And the bread of Adversity,
Will teach you life's direction.
These came with the fall of man
But they prune you for the best,
Just trust with all you can
And you'll soon pass the test.
All your dross will be removed
When you pass the Refiner's Fire,
And your goodness will be proved
For My Will you will desire."
When I pass the fire I suffer
But He is in the furnace with me
And I love Him more than ever,
Love as gold as eternity.
Jesus Himself went through the fire for me! If all of life was sunshine and roses, I would not know the love of God and His peace that passes all understanding. I would not feel His calming presence in my heart, and His sure guidance for my footsteps.
After the fire, even in the fire, there is growth and increased love and knowledge of God. My most precious times with Him have been during the hardest of circumstances in my life.

Yes, why do good men are pushed through the emotional grinder? what purpose can be there in a repeated test? One can't throw an glass on the floor to see how many throws its needed until it breaks!
And then, here comes the refiners fire, maybe too late for some which were broken after so many tries, and there is nothing left to refine.
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
Peace,
Dan
