On worldwide television broadcast a man, Doug White, a passenger of a plane which suddenly lost its pilot to illness, gave glory to God for helping him fly the plane safely to Florida. His words of great faith echoed all over the world: "I'm in the Lord's good Hands flying this plane."
"Because he loves Me," says the Lord,
"I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My Name.
He will call upon Me, and I will answer him."
PSALM 91: 14-15
His plane's going down
The pilot is out-
No time to frown
Not even to shout.
"Pray!" he told his wife,
And kept the plane up-
Focused fear and fright,
"My God is enough!"
His faith's not in vain,
"The Lord's good Hand
Is flying this plane!"
So the plane did land!
No long prayer here-
Only faith declaration,
Yet God still hears,
Whatever situation!
This is life or death
And you forget yourself,
When in trouble don't fret,
Just cry to God: "Help!"
He's the God Who answers,
If you're down, don't wait,
It is not great prayers-
He honors... great faith.
God helps those who put their faith in Him, leaning not unto their own understanding, or devises. We need only trust Him and He gives us ability we do not normally have. It is His power, His strength and His will which be done, not ours. Well penned. In Him, J'nia
What amazes me is the selectivity of the helping Hand, or it is true that, "I will help those that help themselves"? Because we are drawn to believe that He will do all the work as we sit down and pray doing nothing?
