Golden thoughts

Trembling on the threshold of life
A golden thought is born
To spring beyond the febrile source
It came to first adorn.

Strengthened by the joy produced,
The thought is fast refined
To let its gold reality
Go pouring through the mind.

Encouraged on a crest of hope,
That thought is given flight
From the dream-bond of its formation
To the fond freedom of its delight.

Obeying laws beyond the stars,
True thoughts must be returned
By those who would receive them
To those who are concerned.

So daring all collected sorrow,
I think without regrets
That only love discovers love
And all profound effects.
