Declining
To breathe a word,
In the inadequacy
Of my integrity—
This is not a love poem.
But once there was a girl
Who sent me in a whirl
And left me then!
This once-upon-a-time exists
Not only in itself
But also in crystallised visions:
Fragmented, perhaps
From the space-time-manifold,
But not in that
Transcendental reality which
Conjures the mind to light!
