I threw the first punch, but the good Catholic girl had to hurry off to say confession – all because I was doubly gifted at telling grand lies, tossing truth aside.
A decade later, locked in a bathroom, I tied a string of colored holiday lights around my neck so I might get noticed by God. But you unplugged me.
A decade more passed. Love looked up my number, roped me, heart and soul, pulled me under. I emerged with love intact but all else impaired, Oxygen-deprived.
When love came, it knocked me out – a sucker punch. I didn’t know what hit me. Love lingered, refused to walk away. I tell the truth and confess everyday.
Love will have its fight, wrestles me to the ground, insists on absolute truth, honesty, will not let me forget love is nothing if not arbitrary.
Boy howdy, wavelength-gal! You can paint and draw and stuff? That's *your own* art?! Not fair! I can't even draw stick figures and make 'em look good! I do have the music and the dancing (dancing -- *these* days? ha! [wahhhhh!]), and the passion for music and dancing, so I guess it's okay if I can't draw a straight line! Never could, still can't. I am painting-impaired, and drawing-doomed. Oh well. I'll always have Bach! (And Fogelberg! *grin*) Lovely work!
G'night for now (off to Dreamland) (wheeeee!),
