Poem Artwork

Inspired by a comment Robert Jude(Ace) Forese
made re: my "
Twin Marks" poem. He said:

"we are our own pillars of strength ..."

A cylindrical vessel, hollowed,
I rise from a life desolate, defy war-torn heart.
Reverent, among the remnant, I am ready
            to be renewed by
                        Spirit’s life-breath.

A Corinthian column shining
            a brighter white, whether sun-drenched or rain-speckled,
I recall ancient wisdom suggested by grooves
            of experience,
                        seek out sage friends.

A magnetized passage, conduit,
both heaven and earth give me charge of energy.
My task here: to stand firm, let Love rejuvenate,
            so become my own
                        pillar of strength.
