Captain, can you hear the faint echo of my plea?
I’ve been searching but cannot find the island home
where they put you off after their daft mutiny.
If only I had been on board our ship of dreams…

But fair captain, you cut me too soon from your crew,
bid me no farewell as you shoved small boat away.
Don’t you know I would have fought with and followed you
to exile, exploration of a deeper blue?

Drifting still, my pained heart turns oft to love, to you.
A sailor’s song of peril beats ere strong within,
my soul bound up ever in time with yours. I do
believe this unfavorable wind will lift and storms

will cease to rule my lonely life. Will strange voyage
lead to you and treasure hidden in this wreckage?

This is such a deep yearning for recognition I feel it in my bones!
I'm glad you can write it out!
