Lifetimes of being pushed away,
held at bay for a myriad
of reckless reasons... yet,

traces of your essence reside
deep within me, as in you I live
and find remembered home.

Two wholes fused by one sacred bond,
we’re meant to drink from holy cup,
hearts joined in communion

with each other and Source of all,
Giver of every gift, Author
of love everlasting.

What unites us will triumph o’er
that which would divide us. God’s grace
covers me as I wait.

Filled with absolute certainty
that we will love as one again,
I endure, believing.
