On Golgotha:
with each hollow hammer strike
to the nail, the pawns of the powerful
pounded out propaganda,
resounding exclamation:

     Thou shalt not
challenge minds or rule of Law.

     There shall be
no other gods save Caesar.

     Thou shalt die
who claims God does a new thing.

     There shall be
no other God but our God.

Intended to
silence insurrection, this
crucifixion, carried out by those just
following orders – simple
execution of a plan.

     Thou shalt not
stand in judgment, stay silent.

      There shall be
on that day a reckoning.

     Thou shalt die
to self and be born again.

     There shall be
one God who gives life to all.

Heaven echoed
with anguished cry, thundered out
universal truths. Black sky at noon said
this death was something more than
just simple execution.
