When you extracted your love,
neatly erased yourself from my life,
it caused a massive system failure.

Many forced deletions of memory hogging
programs later, I reconfigure everyday
activities, spend my days

rooting out corrupted files,
identifying embe dded viruses
without a cure.

I save myself for system upgrades –
they tell my motherboard
is too old a model

to improve it much. And so
I compute and process what I can,
then sign off and shut down again.
