Red hot candle,
column of wax perfection,
bring me scent of cinnamon,
flame to light my center and spark
fragrance of hope.

Talking rock,
whispering truth to ancient hills,
bring me your courage, audacity


to utter what is most real,
to speak my peace.

Woman with parasol,
standing sure in spite of whipping wind,
bring me green umbrella to shade me
from bright sun and love’s
unbearable beauty.
