don't believe in love
don't believe in hate
ah, but loving
i do relate
a walking rhythm
concrete sidewalks
her hand in mine
silent words lie soft
within her mind
warm summer day
a saxophone in play
echoes from cool shadow doorways
north is south
east is west
a glass of wine
a moment to rest
voiceless
and at our best
summertime rhyme
can hold
an old man into death
with no regret
a walking rhythm
his only request.

Reviews of "summertime rhyme (love song to patti)"
Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
The songs and art in this book are about our collective emergence after the pandemic and trauma of the last few years - comprised of 5 collections: World as Refuge, Where We Live, In Our Hands, Rhythms of Change and What We See & Sow.
