Sweet variations in rhyme is the walk of a poet's voice. History as told by many views offers a deeper sight. Or a broken man lost to a drifting time?
just my imagination
first love
really only a boy
walked like a man
1069 USA
elsewhere
looking for reason
desk hiding child
atom bombs falling
empty calling
somebody to love
dare to believe
and yet
from where
did tomorrow come
sunrise over warm western skies
with the rocky mountains
a mist
a dream
1970
still
looking for reason
carrying a broken shell
mirror of a young girl's eyes
her sighs
just my imagination
Vietnam child draft blues
thin lines between anarchy
and treason
street theatre season
15 years on the road
looking for reason
just my imagination
Thoughts of the song, "Just My Imagination," popped into my head as I read. A searing image like the one portrayed is difficult to get out of one's mind.
Doesn't sound to be imagination; you know where you came from, hard, I grant, to forget as memories of some of the things you speak of are in grained in us all...-e-
